Ropes Park Equipment creates and distributes a variety of safety equipment specifically for the ropes course industry to provide the safest climbing experience in the world. Our equipment supports open-air experiences where people can connect with the great outdoors and each other by engaging in activities that are fun, challenging, confidence building, and help promote good health.  We have recently launched LockD Clips, an innovative new integrated carabiner system for the adventure recreation industry.

Under the leadership and direction of the Managing Director, the Sales and Service Lead will be responsible for growing Ropes Park Equipment revenue and providing excellent customer service.  This role will be responsible for establishing and growing existing customer relationships, proactively targeting new opportunities, and following up on incoming leads.  In addition, the Sales and Service Lead will support the team in maintaining vendor and customer orders and updating the RPE website.

This role is ideally based in the Westport, CT area but a remote office location will be considered based on experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Customer Management

  • Increase Ropes Park Equipment sales and revenue from existing and new accounts, including adventure parks, camps, universities, and other operators through outbound sales calls and inbound inquiry handling
  • Grow relationships with builders and dealers to drive additional sales
  • Follow up on inbound sales leads to close the sale
  • Attend industry trade shows and visit clients/leads as necessary to cost effectively generate new and additional business
  • Track and report on all sales activity through Hubspot, our CRM platform
 

Customer Service and Support

  • Primary support for inbound phone calls, emails, chats and other messages
  • Support maintenance of BigCommerce ecommerce platform, including products, prices, and inventory
  • Follow up on orders to ensure that all orders are fulfilled completely and in a timely manner
  • Follow up on repair orders to leverage additional purchases
 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3+ years sales, customer service and/or account management experience
  • Knowledge of adventure recreation equipment and industry preferred
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in achieving goals
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Hubspot or equivalent sales CRM experience.  BigCommerce or other ecommerce platform experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize effectively and work independently


Pay Range

While the exact pay offered reflects a candidate's qualifications and experience, the annual salary for the Sales and Service Lead position starts at $44,000.
